A. Register for online counselling and login. You do not need to provide any personal details for the registration. To be able to communicate with us you need a username and a password which you should keep safe from other people at all times.
Usernames should not been discriminating, glorify violence or be associated with the work or the counsellors themselves at all times (for example webmaster, admin or moderator). Allocated and specified data and usernames will also be used in group- and experts chat and may be shown on our forum for other users to see.
If you have logged in and used the website, don’t forget to log out again! This is the only way to ensure nobody else is using your account from your device.
B. Personal data.Providing personal information is voluntary.
If you provide an email address you will be automatically informed as soon as we have replied to your inquiry, confirmed your appointment for the one-to-one chat or accepted your application to a group chat. Otherwise you will be able to see this when you log in.
We would be grateful if you could provide some details for a rough orientation of your whereabouts (state, county), your sex, age-group and how you found out about the online counselling service for our statistical evaluation and to improve our online counselling.
C. Borders of the online counselling service and cancelling the confidential communicationThe online counselling service cannot replace a lawyer’s legal advice.
Due to the fact we can’t reply to emails instantly and because an appointment is needed for one-to-one chats, an acute crisis-intervention is not always possible for example if somebody is suicidal.
If you announce you want to end your life, we have to take this matter seriously and inform the responsible authorities (psychosocial services, justice and police) for your own and our legal protection. This means providing the information from our communication, as well as details concerning your whereabouts so others are able to locate and help you. We would also have to intervene if you are planning a severe crime which can still be stopped. In these cases our confidential policy does not apply!
D. Problems and violationsIf technical problems occur, send an email with a short description to onlineberatung@mobile-opferbertaung.de. We will try to solve the problem as soon as possible. If serious violations against our terms of use are made we will delete the relevant accounts. If improper attempts to access our counselling server are made, we will initiate legal measures.
If you do not agree to our terms of use, you should not use our online counselling service.
